Manny is a nationally recognized and highly respected diversity and marketing professional. He currently works as the Diversity and Inclusion Leader at FedEx Office, Dallas, Texas.
His responsibilities include Diversity & Inclusion and Supplier Inclusion programs for the 1,800 FedEx Office centers in the U.S. and Canada.
Prior to joining FedEx Office in 2012, Manny served as the Inclusion and Diversity Director for jcpenney from 2007-2011, one of America’s leading retailers operating over 1,100 department stores throughout the U.S. and Puerto Rico. Manny’s leadership and collaborative efforts resulted in the prestigious recognition of the 2011 DiversityInc Top 50 Companies for Diversity, by DiversityInc.. In his role, Manny participated in the strategic development and implementation of national and regional diversity programs focused on increasing associate engagement and enabling a culture of inclusion, resulting in innovation and exceptional performance enterprise-wide.
Throughout his more than 30 plus year career at jcpenney, Manny was the recipient of numerous prestigious awards including the 2006 jcpenney Chairman’s Award for his contributions and achievements in multicultural marketing. He has also received the George C. Pitts Champion of Diversity Award, the highest honor for diversity & inclusion commitment within the company.
Manny was born in Cuba and migrated to the U.S. in 1962. He holds an associate degree in marketing from Miami Dade College. Manny and his wife Yvonne reside in Frisco, Texas and have two adult children, Michael, VP of Sales for Perry Ellis International in Miami, Fla. and Megan, elementary school teacher in Frisco and recent MBA graduate.
He is also a long-term supporter of breast cancer awareness programs and currently serves on the Susan G. Komen Corporate Board of Advisors. As an avid soccer fan, Manny has been a Board Member of the FC Dallas Foundation since 2011 and joined the UT Dallas Diversity Council in 2013.
