Niya Blair

Niya Blair is the first director of the Center for Diversity and Inclusion at the University of Houston where she leads diversity efforts for the UH campus community. She has over a decade of experience working in the areas of social justice, inclusion, and leadership at three institutions of higher education. Niya has presented at national conferences and for campus and community organizations in the areas of multiculturalism, diversity awareness, cultural competency, and leadership. She is certified as an Intercultural Consultant with the Intercultural Development Inventory, LLC. Niya received her Masters of Education with an emphasis in Higher Education Administration from the University of Arkansas and her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Central Arkansas.
