Peggy Wooten has been fortunate to have enjoyed a dynamic career at NASA’s Johnson Space Center (JSC) for the past 27 years including leadership assignments in the Information Resources Directorate, the Office of the Director, the External Relations Office and most recently the Office of Equal Opportunity and Diversity. As JSC’s Government and Community Relations Manager, Peggy spent over 10 years helping JSC connect with key organizations locally and nationally.
Since December 2015, Peggy has served as the JSC Diversity and Inclusion Manager leveraging her knowledge of the JSC workforce, her education in sociology, and her commitment to helping all employees feel valued and respected. Peggy assists leadership in identifying and executing strategies that promote an inclusive culture at JSC, coaches nine Employee Resource Groups, and coordinates JSC’s Inclusion & Innovation Council activities. Peggy currently serves in a dual role as the Acting Deputy Director for the Equal Opportunity and Diversity Office and as the Diversity and Inclusion Manager at JSC.
Peggy earned a Master of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of Houston Clear Lake.
